Come and discover Zamora. A tourist jewel that has a lot to offer you.
History, culture, gastronomy and leisure.
Zamora does not only live off its Romanesque architecture. In its streets you will discover a modernist architecture that is hard to ignore. A stony, stately and quiet old town. A feeling of seclusion and peace, difficult to find in other places.
A must to visit are our Cathedral and its castle, the Romanesque bridge, the iconic streets of Balborraz and los Herreros, the walks along the Rúa, the river Duero, the forest of Valorio or our traditional Holy Week.
But in Zamora you will also find a rich, varied and modern gastronomic offer. Restaurants, tapas bars and snack bars line our streets with typical dishes such as garlic soup, Zamora-style rice, bacalao a la tranca, pinchos morunos or callos zamoranos (Zamora tripe). And, of course, you can't leave without tasting our cheese from Zamora with Protected Designation of Origin and our incredible wines from the D.O. Toro.
Ask us at reception and we will be delighted to advise you.
